About initIA

We free your team from the work that should not require them.

Time, money, and mental bandwidth are the three things growing teams never have enough of. We diagnose exactly where they are leaking, and deploy AI agents to stop it.

Why now

Every major revolution has automated the dominant form of labor of its era. The Industrial Revolution took physical work off human hands. The Digital Revolution did the same for information processing. Both transformed industries, displaced old roles, and created new ones people could not have imagined before.

What is happening now is different in one important way. For the first time, machines can take autonomous action across multiple steps. Not just answer questions or generate text. Actually do things: qualify a lead, file a report, follow up with a client, flag an anomaly, book a meeting. This is what agentic AI means, and it came of age in 2024-2025.

Most companies are not ready for it. Not because they lack tools, but because they have never mapped where human attention is actually going. They are running cognitive labor on tasks that no longer require it, while the work that genuinely needs a human sits undone or underprioritised.

The companies that win won't be the most automated. They'll be the most human.

Automation does not create competitive advantage on its own. Every company will have access to the same models, the same tools. The advantage goes to those who know exactly where to point them, and who have freed their teams to focus on the things machines cannot replicate: judgment, relationships, creativity, trust.

That is the bet initIA is built on.

Where initIA comes from

Cristina and Johan arrived at the same conclusion from very different directions. Cristina spent 18 years leading teams at Amazon, Netflix, and Taringa! watching the same pattern repeat at every scale: smart people, good intentions, and a huge chunk of the week consumed by work that was never actually their job.

Johan built systems inside banks, fintechs, and startups and kept hitting the same wall from the technical side: the tools were good, but nobody had diagnosed the operation before deploying them. You end up automating the wrong things, faster.

When agentic AI made it possible to actually fix this at scale, they both got the same calls from founder friends and fellow leaders: "I know AI matters. I just don't know where to start." The market was full of people selling answers to that question. Nobody was asking the question before it.

That is the gap initIA was built to fill. Diagnosis first. Always.

The founders

Two people. Very different paths. Same diagnosis.

Cristina Sancho

Cristina Sancho

Co-Founder & CEO

LinkedInLinkedIn

Cristina has led teams at Amazon and Netflix, and ran Taringa! as CEO through a full company rebuild. Across all of it, one thing kept proving true: every time she followed someone else's map, she got lost. Every time she trusted her own read of a situation, she found the way forward.

That is what drove her toward AI consulting. Not the technology itself, but the question underneath it: what does your team actually need to do less of, so they can do more of what matters? Most companies bring in tools before they have answered that. We do not.

Cristina leads our client relationships and the Operational Intelligence diagnostic process. She also speaks at conferences on AI adoption and leadership in the era of automation. Her belief is that clarity does not come from the outside. It is already in the organisation, buried under noise. The diagnostic is how we surface it.

Johan Duque

Johan Duque

CTO & Co-Founder

LinkedInLinkedIn

Johan has built digital systems inside banks, fintechs, and fast-moving startups for 15+ years. He was part of the team that designed illimity, Italy's first cloud-native bank, and later worked on Open Banking architecture at HYPE, the country's largest fintech. He then became CTO of Taringa!, where he and Cristina first worked together.

What he learned across all of it: the hardest problems in any company are not technical. Leadership, clarity, decision-making under uncertainty, getting people to actually use the systems you build. That is where things break down. It shaped how he approaches every automation project at initIA.

He leads all technical architecture at initIA: choosing the right AI stack for each use case, designing the agents, and making sure what we deploy actually fits the way the team works. His rule is simple: automation should make people more effective, not more dependent.

What initIA is

+A consulting studio, not a software product
+Diagnosis-first: we map before we build
+Custom-built agents for your specific operation
+A long-term partner, not a one-time vendor
+Human-first: AI handles routine, people handle judgment

What initIA is not

xNot a SaaS. No platform, no subscriptions
xNot a chatbot agency. Our agents take actions, not just answer questions
xNot tool-first. We pick tools to fit the problem, not the other way around
xNot here to replace your team
xNot interested in implementing anything that does not have clear ROI

Seen enough? Let's look at your operation.

Start with the Operational Intelligence diagnostic. 5 to 7 business days. A concrete roadmap of what to automate, in what order, and why. No commitment to implementation required.
